The Joseph W. England Library was founded nearly two hundred years ago, shortly after the formation of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in 1821. Our library serves the students, faculty, and staff at the University of the Sciences, supporting teaching, learning, and research across campus. Our collections focus on the pharmaceutical and health sciences, especially pharmacy, pharmaceutics, toxicology, and occupational and physical therapy. We also house the university archives and the Leopold Helfand Rare Book Room of early pharmacy-related texts.
